Fitting in can have a cost.

I learn how to fit into the world around me. It helps keep me safe and gives me a place to grow. I learn to be like my family and friends, to value what they value and like what they like.

Along the way, I may begin to hide, forget, or even give up parts of myself that others don't notice or appreciate.

Recognition 1. I need to belong.

Recognition 2. But fitting in can have a cost.

Recognition 3. Responsibilities can make this pattern stronger.

Recognition 4. I can begin discovering what is true for me.

Recognition 5. I can begin living more of who I am.

Recognition 6. My Life Is Worthy of My Care.

Recognition 7. And then comes an unexpected possibility.
